# GANT United States

> GANT is a Swedish-owned fashion brand with American roots, founded in 1949 by Bernard Gantmacher in New Haven, Connecticut, and headquartered in Stockholm. This site, gant.com, is the official GANT online store for the United States. It sells menswear, womenswear, kidswear, babywear and homeware, priced in USD.

GANT is best known for the button-down oxford shirt and for preppy American sportswear: shirts, polo shirts, knitwear, chinos and outerwear. Signature construction details include the back-collar button, the locker loop and the box pleat. The brand operates in around 70 markets; each market has its own storefront, so product availability, pricing and delivery terms on this site apply to the United States only.
